Our story

Gray Line Westcoast Sightseeing started in 1984 as a family business delivering guided tours onboard minibuses. Today, Gray Line Westcoast Sightseeing is Vancouver’s only sightseeing company to offer Hop-On, Hop-Off, Guided Tours, Charters and Electric Harbour Tours. With this wide range of products, we are able to create remarkable experiences with over 250,000 guests from all over the world. We are proudly working towards a greener and more sustainable future. And adding electric buses and boats is the first step to achieve our goal of becoming the first Sightseeing company in Canada with 100% electric vehicles.

GIVING BACK TO OUR COMMUNITY

United-way

United Way - Social Purpose Innovator

Our company is part of the first cohort of the United Way Social Purpose Business Innovators Lab. With the United Way of the Lower Mainland, we are doing the strategic work and piloting the tools to define, refine and update our Social Purpose.

Canadian Cancer Society

We are also the Official Motor Coach Gold Sponsor for the Canadian Cancer Society’s Cops For Cancer Tour de Valley. Cops for Cancer is an annual event that takes place each fall when over a hundred law enforcement and emergency services personnel from across the province brave all types of weather as they cycle up to two weeks across the daunting terrain of Vancouver Island, Northern BC, the coast of British Columbia and the Fraser Valley.

Donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society through Cops for Cancer are used to fund life-saving research and caring support programs to reduce its impact.

GIVING BACK TO OUR ENVIRONMENT

We believe that everyone has a responsibility to protect our environment. Our business is built around the natural beauty of our home and we are especially conscious of the impact our day-to-day operations has on the environment. Although we still have a long road ahead of us, we are making definitive steps to reduce our greenhouse gas emissions and reduce our climate impact.

Gray Line Westcoast Sightseeing is committed to having a 100% clean-energy fleet by 2023. To achieve this, we started by adding 10 electric vehicles and working with the city to develop charging infrastructure that will not only benefit Gray Line Westcoast but many other companies that want to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions and climate impact. We have also added Electric Harbour tours to our line of sightseeing products, providing the first Harbor tour on a 100% electric boat in Vancouver.
